Valley Junior Blogs - 22 April 2017

reported by Eden Cook - U11B

Today was my first game of the season and I'm playing in the Under 11B team.  I still remember playing my first game in Under 7s when we all wandered around in blue skirts and shirts that look was too big on us!
Fast forward six years and I've just finished my first game in Under 11B.
Thankfully for us we had the early game starting at 8:30am so it didn't get very hot, however the sky was a cloudy grey colour and we thought we might get rained on.

Our team was up against a talented looking bright pink team call Moreton Bay.  But with the help of our wonderful coach Steph we had a great game and managed to win with the final score 3-0.
Issy scored the first goal when her team mate hit it into the circle and she was positioned right in front of the keeper to whack it in.  Followed soon with a clean hit from Josephine to make the second goal.  And the last goal of the day was scored by Daisy.

Our coach Steph had already organised our positions and I played centre half.  Everyone played well in their positions and we had a great first game.  Two girls from Under 11C filled in for us because we didn't have enough players.  Their names were Ava and Chloe and they did a great job too - Ava playing right inner and Chloe stopping lots of hits as the goal keeper.

I'm looking forward to a great season playing in Under 11B this year!
